چکیده
These are the proceedings of the 13 th conference on Advances in Computer Games which was held in Tilburg in November 2011. The first eight conferences (1975-1996) dealt exclusively with Computer Chess, but after DEEP BLUE’s victory over Kasparov in May 1997, the scope was broadened to include other games as well. The conference name was changed from Advanced in Computer Chess (ACC) to Advances in Computer Games (ACG) but the sequence numbering was kept. So, despite this being only the fifth truly ACG conference, it is referred to as ACG13.

Random-Turn Hex and Other Selection Games
In this report, we summarize the results in [6]. We define a mathematical formulation for all selection games. When considering the random-turn selection game, we prove that the result of the game equals to two players play randomly. By using the theory of Boolean functions, we show that the average number of turns before determining the winner of Random-Turn Hex is at least L3/2+o(1), where L ...

We consider random-turn positional games, introduced by Peres, Schramm, Sheffield and Wilson in 2007. A p-random-turn positional game is a two-player game, played the same as an ordinary positional game, except that instead of alternating turns, a coin is being tossed before each turn to decide the identity of the next player to move (the probability of Player I to move is p). We analyze the ra...
